I wanted to start a discussion and gather people's opinions on communication.

I'm more of a "keep to myself" kind of person. I tend to just mind my own business and do what I have to do. Be it at work, at home, or even in games I just tend to keep to myself.
For example, at my job I go in, get what I need to get done, and I get out, sometimes without even speaking a single word to somebody besides greetings.
At home i'm very much the same, i'm not much of the one to spark up a conversation as I just see most of it as meaningless "small talk" just to fake being interested in the conversation.
Even on DarkRP (the server I play in this community) EVEN while with friends on discord and grouping up together, I just go to my corner and do my own thing.
I don't personally see it as a bad thing. Seemingly some people in this community believe it is an objectively bad thing. I keep to myself because sometimes there really is nothing relevant to say. If you don't have any distinguishable opinions on a topic, why even speak up? I just don't think people should be held to a standard of speaking on a consistent basis, unless they personally feel the need to.
Maybe it's only me, I just wanted some opinions.

I'm the complete opposite from you, I enjoy small talk with others and use it to see how their day is going. I mainly do it to ensure the people I care about are doing well and if not, how I could go about brightening up their day since a small convo can help people out a lot. (Learnt that in the fast food industry). There's nothing wrong with keeping to yourself, since people always know you come to them with meaning and that you're always focused on the task at hand, not being distracted by others/environment. I understand the difficulty of speaking on a consistent basis as work/school/life can get in the way of that, I had to push myself to learn that ability and it took a while. I'm the lucky few that are able to do that and I don't expect that out of anyone around me since I rather they focused on things in their lives and focused on themselves, although it's always enjoyable to receive a message from someone be it I talked with them recently or not in a while.

Yeah, the whole point of me starting this community was to connect and communicate with people, I love the silly stupid interactions you can get by playing each day- you never know who you're gonna meet!

I love interactions, I love coming on the server and talking to new people! They always have something that is funny or something I can learn, I love seeing how their days are. I love communicating with them during role-play cause some people have amazing impressions and accents. but just talking in general and welcoming new players brightens up my day.

I love fucking around and having interactions with people but I don't know anybody who'd call you out or get mad for not talking often, that's just a horrible thing to say/do.  Huh

If people don't feel like talking sometimes, by all means we should let them, I don't understand the people who think otherwise.
