By posting this application, you affirm that you have read the Terms and Conditions (https://non-stopnetworks.com/forums/show...php?tid=69).
Do you know how to tie your shoes?: Yup, learned in one of the most cruel fashions!
Do you have a mic?: Yes
Timezone & Location: EST, Ontario
Discord name with #: BenDoverEh#6151
How many hours do you have on our server?: 672 hours
How many hours do you have on GMOD?: 776 hours
Do you have any previous experience with SAM or ULX?: I am unfamiliar with SAM, but a few years ago playing on my own server I had used a ULX Admin Menu, although I'm sure they have updated the menu since I’ve last seen it. I am always open to learning new things and perfecting what I already know, I'd gladly learn whatever helps me become a better more effective staff member.
How many warns do you have on our server?: 0
Have you moderated a GMod server/community before?: No, As I mentioned I had my own server but it was many years ago and just for close friends. So as for moderating a community, I wouldn't consider my past experience to amount to an active community moderator.
Define LTAP: Leaving To Avoid Punishment. For Example: During a sit a player knows he is about to be punished for his actions then leaves or closes the game to avoid it.
Define RDM: Random Death Match. For Example: If a player kills for no good reason like defending a base that isn't theirs and killing the raiders.
Define FailRP: Fail Role Play is a player who chooses to act against the morals of the role they are in. For Example: A police officer that chooses to have printers outside of the bank or to base outside of PD.
Why should you be chosen for staff? [Minimum of 150 words]:
I feel my best reasoning for being staff is my activity. I found this server with a friend only about a month and a half to two months ago and I've been online extremely often. So much so I’ve been the only one online for hours on multiple occasions. I’ve also been online to witness RDM sprees that I could have stopped if I had made this application sooner. Another huge reason for wanting to be a part of the staff team is to lend a hand wherever and whenever I can. Especially when I see one or two mods being bombarded with tons of sits. I’ve always felt bad not being able to help them tackle a problem. I’ve taught many new players the ropes of the server but had some not trust me thinking I would get something from helping them because I didn't have a staff rank.
I’ve always been a very energetic worker so any projects I may be tasked with I’d not only love to do but would complete in a timely and happy manner. I try to stay optimistic no matter the situation. I try to find the best in people when they can't see it themselves and I always try to advise wherever I can to make the gmod server a better friendlier community. I rarely seek the harshest punishment on anything unless it is earned as I truly believe people can change but everyone does so at their own pace. Some need a lot more time than others.
I do have a fairly busy schedule as I balance college, a social life and a relationship but this game has been a great escape from the stresses of everyday life and has given me the opportunity to meet some truly amazing people. My hopes are to continue learning, making friendships and being an active symbol of this community.
Describe 2 situations where a player breaks the rules and make sure to include details. Also state what you would do as a staff member to handle the situation.
[SITUATION 1] [Minimum of 150 words]:
A report is made against JakeTheRake for RDM , I would first bring the victim to the sit and let them tell their side of the story. Once I have that in my mind. I would then proceed to bring JakeTheRake to the sit and ask his side of the story. If I am met with a conflicting argument I would check player logs for evidence. If JakeTheRake had no previous warnings I would issue a verbal warning and explain that if his behaviour continues this will result in further warnings or a ban depending on the nature of the rdm. (targeting the same player) would result in a harsher punishment. If JakeTheRake chose to target a player and RDM repeatedly to ruin a players experience on the server this would result in an hour ban for Targeting. This would give him time to rethink his choices
[SITUATION 2] [Minimum of 150 words]:
A report is made suggesting the player PoloG has been committing FailRP by having a base in residential as a police officer. Upon further inspection a fail base is found but i notice that PoloG only has 10 hours on the server. This changes my means of punishment as an experienced player would know the law of the land by now. I start by making a sit and bringing PoloG for questions. I would ask if they are familiar with the rules and how to bring them up. PoloG had never been taught !motd and therefore had only used previous DarkRP knowledge while playing on NSN. Before closing the sit I would make sure the player is familiar with the !motd command and has the basic rules understood. No warnings would be issued. No bans would be issued.
It’s been real y'all have yourselves a bootyful day <3 ~Pablo
