Why should you be chosen for staff? [Minimum of 6 sentences.] : Having my prior experience, I know the expectations to becoming a staff member on NSN. I will and can always perform to the best of my ability and will try to do the most I can when it comes to basic procedures to staffing the server and players. I'm very honest, moderately strict, very outgoing and look forward to working with a team I know, will not disappoint me. Not only will becoming staff give me better advantages, but I will be able to offer the same advantages to other players, so that there experience is as good as mine or ever better. I'm a straight forward person, I don't feel like being a staff member is difficult, as long as you know how to handle it the proper way. I'm looking forward to spending more time on the server and mine as well get myself a position to keep me busy, I know I'm able to work with others even if they're a burden to me, and my work ethic is out the walls. I love to help people out, I don't mind answering questions because sometimes it's the least I can do. Becoming a staff member for NSN, would gradually open the door to me being more involved obviously, especially with the player base and other staff members. I would like to show the dedication I'm willing to offer and the challenge that I'm gonna have to endure along the way to make it possible. I have been apart of the GMOD community for a while, it's hard to come by servers who have a good staff team that are constantly improving the server just by their everyday presents. Which is exactly what I would like to do, if possible, maybe even more and would generally enjoy starting out somewhere. I'm also looking into possible Developer work if needed, since I know NSN is always constantly trying to expand.
I have a very good work ethic, I like to focus on the positives and what we need to work on to get ahead. When it comes to my attitude, I always try to measure it out based on the situation and take into account of everyone's actions or emotions. I know, I will not be a burden towards the staff team, because I'm willing to offer my 100% and extend the extra help whenever needed. I'm very outgoing, believe in having respect for others, and don't mind talking whenever someone needs to. I know my priorities when it comes to role playing and being a staff member, I firmly believe every staff member should try to make the experience better by trying to constantly role play and manage the server at the same time. I'm here to represent the community well and as a whole, I do not plan on wasting anyone's time because then I would be wasting my own time. Iv'e taken into consideration on how iv'e introduced myself so far, talking to other staff members and really getting to the know the community, has really made me want to do more because of how this community has presented its self towards me so far. In my opinion, anyone can help out the server or really do just as much as staff when it comes down to it, but taking the extra time to dedicate yourself to be more involved is what really matters and shows that specific persons personality/traits. My traits are to be more involved with the community, set an example to players and other staff, making sure to do extra especially if it deals with a player on the server, and show how much I'm willing to put in effort when it comes down to any given situation.
When it comes to being a staff member, I take professionalism moderately, I treat everyone equally, just because I'm a staff member doesn't mean I'm better than anyone else or "special" in some way. I would act the same like I usually do, becoming a staff member would just give me a better advantage to getting to know more people and really show my true colors on how I try and make the effort to give my best impression/actions towards everyone. Just because I have prior experience doesn't mean I expect myself to advance more quicker than anyone else or even have any higher standards than the other staff members. I'm not a biased person, I'm not trying to say that my priority is to make everyone like me, I'm self centered and always take into consideration on how my maturity plays a part, and just in general on how the community knows me. I would like to take the extra step into getting more involved by showing how eager I am to really take on this position, knowing that I have other options and am fairly new to the community compared to others, I'm willing to give it a shot. I look forward to what comes in the near future, even if I'm not accepted for the staff team because I know there is always another privilege that comes along the way. The experience I have had so far has been amazing and wouldn't be able to ask for anything else, if I was able to apply the same experience towards other players. Being apart of other big communities and seeing how most systems work, this server has completely surprised me to the point where Iv'e been proven wrong about having certain systematic procedures or policies to becoming a "good staff member" which isn't really needed at all. The community its self is what sets the standards for most staff members and especially the player base, from the first day I joined, I could tell NSN was going to treat me with the upmost respect and greet me with open arms. I'm willing to do whatever the hell I can for a community like this, that's willing to work with me and multiple of other individuals to make the community better. Thank you.
Describe 2 situations where a player breaks the rules and make sure to include details. Also state what you would do as a staff member to handle the situation.:
[SITUATION 1] [Minimum of 6 sentences.] - It's been a long rough day and player "NardHipple" has joined the DarkRP server at exactly 3:34 AM in the morning. This player is also new to the server and to the game itself. After running around in spawn wondering why there are text screens full of important information, "NardHipple" becomes a dog because he likes dogs and feels that he could do a pretty damn good impression of a dog. He finally leaves spawn, runs into a crowd of people and begins to bark at people for no apparent reason. While "NardHipple" is barking at everyone, he finds a loaded Mossberg laying on the ground that someone must have dropped and decides to pick it up. As "NardHipple" puts away the weapon, he goes back to barking at all the people who are standing in the middle of the street watching some homeless man sing "We are the champions" by queen. Another player in the crowd tells "NardHipple" to shut up and stop barking or he's gonna punch him."NardHipple" gets upset and decides to pull out the shotgun and says "WHAT? SAY IT AGAIN, I DARE YA!" The other player says "I dare you, do it." "NardHipple" puts a shell right into his head and the other player flies back 10 feet into a building wall. Shortly after the player being killed he says in OOC chat "Nice RDM, see you on the forums" and makes a ticket. "NardHipple" is brought into a sit, the staff member gets his side of the story and the victims side of the story, knowing "NardHipple" is new to the server and obviously doesn't know the rules well enough, he is going to have to read the !motd and since it's his first offense it would just being a warning. The staff member goes into detail on why dogs cannot pull out weapons and kill people because of how it breaks RP.
[SITUATION 2] [Minimum of 6 sentences.] - Player Adam is currently on the DarkRP server with his friend Patrick. They both to decide to stop by the gun dealer shop to get some weapons and tools because they feel like raiding other peoples bases and homes. While Adam and Patrick are trying to find a base to raid, Patrick walks into a alley way where someone is trying to mug him for 10,000 dollars and ends up getting shot. Adam gets upset about this because he cares about Patrick and ends up finding the mugger that killed Patrick. Adam then proceeds to kill the mugger without saying anything or even giving him a chance. The mugger calls an admin sit on Adam for RDM, at this point the staff member gets both sides of the story, checks to see if they're in a party and since they're not, Adam would get a warning for RDM. The staff member would need to go over in detail why we have the party system on the server and suggest for Adam to read over the MOTD. The staff member can also go over on how to get them into a party during the sit so that there's no confusion whatsoever.
